QSE falls 3.73% in November

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index declined in November by 3.73% or 379.12 points to the level of 9,793.83 points.

Trading volume increased 53.3% to 187.8 million shares from 122.59 million shares exchanged in October, turnover also rose 28.9% to QAR 5.8 billion from QAR 4.5 billion.

The market capitalisation shrank 4.01% or QAR 22.07 billion to QAR 526.96 billion ($144.57 billion) in November, compared to QAR 549.03 billion ($150.63 billion) in October.

Out of 44 companies, six stocks ended the month in green and the remaining 38 declined.

The telecom sector was the worst performer after falling by 32.25%, followed by the banking sector with a 25.31% decrease.
