du launches du Pay to reinforce fintech solutions in UAE

Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has launched du Pay to foster the UAE’s cashless economy and enhance its financial inclusion, according to a press release.

Licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), du Pay seeks to simplify digital financial services by offering a wide range of digital financial services and payment services.

The features are available in six languages, including Arabic, English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil.

Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO at du, said: "du Pay underlines the company's commitment to leveraging technology for financial empowerment, contributing to the directives of the UAE's leadership towards a fully digitalized and inclusive financial ecosystem.

“By drawing on the strengths of our partnerships and our innovative approach, we aim to make significant contributions to the UAE's journey towards becoming a global leader in the digital economy," Al Hassawi continued.

The outward international money transfer volumes from the UAE stand at $39.70 billion. Therefore, du Pay seeks to leverage this promising market by providing services that prioritise simplicity and a customer-centric experience.

This aligns with the market projections that expect substantive growth in the digital payment sector, anticipating it to reach $3.30 trillion in payment services by 2031.

The DFM-listed firm is participating in the 13th edition of the Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC) 2024, which takes place during 23-25 April at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
