Riyadh – Mubasher: Yalla has signed a number of agreements with key financial companies and institutions, including a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Alinma Bank and Digital Pay.
The deals aligned with Yalla's strategy to launch its platform in Saudi Arabia during 2023, providing its customers across the Kingdom with an enhanced experience, according to a press release.
Yalla's platform will meet the various daily needs of its clients in the Saudi market, integrating seamlessly with the Yalla Card for e-commerce and in-store payments.
This announcement took place on the sidelines of the Seamless Saudi Arabia 2023 conference, which was held in Riyadh during 4-5 September 2023.
The company announced its plans to launch the Yalla platform, including the Yalla Super App in Saudi Arabia this year.
The platform will offer a wide range of electronic payment solutions, including financial services, bill payments, and online shopping, in addition to Yalla Business solutions for enterprises and merchants.
Waleed Sadek, Founder and CEO of Yalla, highlighted: "The launch of Yalla in the Saudi market is a pivotal milestone for the company. It follows a comprehensive study of the needs and expectations of various individual and corporate customers in the Kingdom, building on the unprecedented success achieved by the Yalla platform in Egypt.”
Sadek also underlined the importance of Yalla's participation at the Seamless event, affirming that it is a crucial step in preparing for the launch of Yalla and expanding into the Saudi market.
“After the launch of the app in the UAE earlier this year, a significant market in the region, we aim to attract approximately one million Saudi users to the Yalla platform during the first year of operation, offering the best possible services that cater to the desires and needs of our customers in Saudi Arabia," the CEO added.
It's worth indicating that Yalla Super App registered nearly 2 million users in Egypt, with more than 7 million transactions processed through the app at a total value of EGP 7 billion.
