Cairo – Mubasher: Union National Bank – Egypt (UNBE) has reported a 40.5% year-on-year profit hike during the first six months of 2019, recording EGP 191.4 million ($11.54 million).
The bank’s interest income grew to EGP 462.2 million in H1-19, from EGP 435.3 million in the year-ago period, according to a bourse statement released on Thursday.
UNBE’s profit increased to EGP 81.7 million in the second quarter of 2019, compared to EGP 76.16 million a quarter earlier.
During the first quarter of the year, the EGX-listed bank achieved EGP 109.73 million profit.
