Dubai – Mubasher: Takaful Emarat – Insurance, listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), revealed that its profit attributable to shareholders totalled AED 323,635 for the first quarter of 2019, versus AED 2.45 million in the prior-year period.
Profit per share stood at AED 0.002 at the end of March, compared to AED 0.014 in Q1-18, the UAE-based insurer said in a statement.
Net takaful income fell to AED 21.13 million in Q1-19 from AED 23.46 billion in the year-ago period.
Total assets amounted to AED 1.203 billion in the January-March period of the year, versus AED 1.038 billion in Q1-18.
In 2018, Takaful Emarat reported a net profit of AED 14 million, compared to AED 8 million a year ago.
The company’s net income reached AED 87.7 million last year, versus AED 122 million in 2017.
