Takaful Emarat posts Q2 interim consolidated financial results

Dubai – Mubasher: Takaful Emarat - Insurance, listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), announced it has achieved an interim condensed consolidated profit attributable to shareholders of AED 1.87 million for the second quarter of 2019, versus AED 347,084 in the year-ago period.

Earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.008 in Q2-19, compared to AED 0.002 in the same quarter of 2018, according to a statement to the DFM on Wednesday.

Net takaful income reached AED 20.77 million in the three-month period ended 30 June 2019, versus AED 17.22 million in Q2-18, the company added.

In the first half of 2019, the company recorded an interim consolidated profit attributable to shareholders of AED 1.51 million, versus AED 2.39 million in the same period a year earlier.

The company’s net takaful income increased slightly in H1-19 to AED 41.91 million from AED 40.69 million in the year-ago period.

In Q1-19, Takaful Emarat reported recording an AED 323,635 in profit attributable to shareholders, versus AED 2.45 million in the prior-year period.

Profit per share stood at AED 0.002 in Q1-19, compared to AED 0.014 in the same quarter last year.
