Shell Oman, Al Tasnim Group sign strategic agreement

Shell Oman Marketing Company and Al Tasnim Group signed a strategic agreement for the sale and supply of petroleum products; marking a new chapter of cooperation between the two companies.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed Abdullah al Kindi, national sales manager- fleet solutions and commercial fuels at Shell Oman, and DhirenKhimji, director - corporate services, in the presence of top management officials from both companies.

Khimji said, “We are pleased to join hands with Shell Oman and consolidate our partnership with them through the signing of this agreement. We are confident that our extensive operational know-how and supply experience will contribute to sustainable value creation and growth for both parties.”

By capitalising on major investments in infrastructure projects and maturing industrial and logistical hubs in Muscat, Sohar, Duqm and Salalah, Shell Oman will remain focused on capturing business opportunities driven by increasing consumer demand.

Kindi said, “Our partnership with Al Tasnim Group for the sale and supply of bulk petroleum fuels and lubricants in Oman is vital to our commitment towards economic development. Partnerships such as these are in keeping with our leading market position. They provide us with the flexibility to respond to shifting market dynamics; and build on our approach to secure successful, long-term alliances, while diversifying geographically.”

Shell Oman operates in a multi downstream-business structure providing retail, commercial, lubricants, marine, bitumen and aviation fuel products and services in Oman. Shell Oman owns and operates the only ISO-certified lubricants blending plant of its kind in Mina Al Fahal, which produces Omani Shell-branded lubricants for local and regional markets.
