Saudi Tadawul Group gears up to take SCMF abroad

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Tadawul Group Holding is set to organize the first international Capital Market Forum on 9 May 2024, announced Khalid Al Hussan, the group's CEO.

The first international Saudi Capital Market Forum will be organized in Hong Kong under the name CMF–CONNECT, Al Hussan added, according to a press release.

He highlighted that the upcoming event will be held in partnership with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX).

Speaking at the third edition of the Saudi Capital Market Forum (SCMF 2024), Al Hussan commented: The event will help integrate the Saudi capital market with the rest of the world and add further value to the Forum in the future.”

CMF–CONNECT aims to strengthen the interconnectivity of the Saudi capital market with key financial hubs, especially Asian markets, aligning with the objectives of Vision 2030's Financial Sector Development Program.

This initiative unveiled on the Forum's second day in Riyadh, is aimed at bolstering the connectivity between Saudi Arabian and Asian capital markets.

The event is designed to facilitate cross-border investments and foster collaboration through a series of strategic discussions and networking platforms, inviting key financial minds and decision-makers to participate.

In its inaugural Asian edition, CMF–CONNECT is positioned to drive economic growth and bolster the integration of global financial markets.

SCMF 2024 is held in Riyadh between 19 and 20 February under the patronage of Mohammed Al Jadaan, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Financial Sector Development Program.

During the event, Saudi Minister of Investment, Khalid Al Falih, stated that the kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP) has surged to over SAR 4 trillion from SAR 2.60 trillion in nominal terms.
