QNB Al Ahli’s consolidated profits hit EGP 10.35bn in 2022; dividends proposed

Cairo – Mubasher: Qatar National Bank Al Ahli (QNB Al Ahli) has logged consolidated net profits after tax worth EGP 10.35 billion in 2022, an annual surge of 36% from EGP 7.62 billion.

QNB Al Ahli registered net interest, fees, and commission income worth EGP 22.41 billion in 2022, versus EGP 17.36 billion during the January-December 2021 period, according to the income statements.

The total consolidated assets amounted to EGP 483.27 billion in the 12-month period that ended on 31 December 2022, higher by 34% year-on-year (YoY) than EGP 359.56 billion.

Standalone Business

The standalone net profits after tax hiked by 36% YoY to EGP 10.12 billion in 2022 from EGP 7.45 billion, whereas the total assets jumped by 35% YoY to EGP 476.79 billion from EGP 354.19 billion.

Furthermore, the non-consolidated net interest, fees, and commission income reached EGP 22.08 billion last year, a leap from EGP 17 billion in 2021.

Both standalone as well as consolidated earnings per share (EPS) stood at EGP 4.20 in 2022, compared to EGP 3.10 in 2021.

Dividends

In a separate bourse disclosure, the board of QNB Al Ahli recommended a dividend distribution to shareholders worth EGP 1.50 per share for 2022.

Meanwhile, the proposal is still subject to the approval of the ordinary general meeting (OGM).

During the first nine months (9M) of 2022, the lender achieved consolidated net profits worth EGP 7.33 billion, including minority shareholders’ rights, whereas the standalone earnings totalled EGP 6.95 billion.
