Ooredoo Oman posts 7% profit rise in Q2-16

Oman Qatari Telecommunications (Ooredoo Oman) recorded a profit increase of 7% in Q2-16 to OMR 12.3 million ($31.84 million) compared to the same period last year, , according to the company’s statement.

The company’s financial results indicated a profit of OMR 24.9 million during the first half of 2016, compared to OMR 22.2 million in H1-15.

The Omani telecom operator added that the number of customers increased 3.3% by the end of Q2-16, reaching 2.84 million subscribers.
