Omani firm to improve profits on low output

Construction Material Industry will take further action to improve profits during the coming period of 2015, as its production at Sohar industrial estate is projected to decreases during the periodical maintenance of the main lime kiln.

Sales are expected to decline by OMR 264,550, according to a bourse filing.

Maintenance works are expected to be completed during the first half of July.

The Oman-based company said it “will do its best to make up for the decrease in the amount of production and sales during the third quarter of this year by raising the production capacity and to reduce the cost by reducing the expenses through changing the unit flow gas control which will be replaced with a new system to reduce the amount of gas used in the operation consumption.”
