National Investments seeks CMA’s market maker license

Mubasher: The board of National Investments Company (NIC) approved launching required procedures to obtain the Capital Markets Authority’s (CMA) license to provide market maker services.

It further called for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to add new services to the company’s business activities, subject to regulatory approvals, according to a bourse statement on Monday.

It is noteworthy that in 2019, NIC’s net profit surged by 45.59% on an annual basis to reach KWD 10.73 million ($34.76 million), compared with KWD 7.37 million ($23.87 million) in 2018.
