Milaha, Oracle Cloud ink digital transformation deal

Mubasher: Qatar Navigation (Milaha) on Sunday announced siging a digital transformation agreement with the US-based tech giant Oracle Cloud.

The Qatari firm targets to drive a major digital transformation across all its core business operations and its subsidiaries, according to Milaha’s recent statement.

“In line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and in a world of increasingly complex supply chains, constantly challenging the status quo is imperative to drive sustained growth and deliver on fast-evolving customer expectations,” Abdulrahman Al Mannai, president and CEO of Milaha, said.

This new agreement will help the Qatar-based firm in creating new revenue streams by introducing innovative services and drive operational efficiency with automated processes, the statement said.

The deal was signed by Abdulrahman Al Mannai, president and CEO of Milaha, and Arun Khehar, senior vice-president of Oracle, in Doha.

“This is especially important for us at Milaha as our primary goal is offering synchronized solutions to our customers to help mobilize their businesses,” Al Mannai added.

Al Mannai noted that Oracle Cloud applications of digital transformation will help the company to create new business opportunities without the need to invest in additional infrastructure.

“Milaha is a key enabler for Qatar’s economic progress and this digital transformation initiative will equip Milaha with cutting-edge cloud technology that will help the company continue and sustain its mission as the preferred maritime and logistics partner of choice in Qatar, the region, and internationally,” Khehar commented.
