Mubasher: Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding achieved a net profit of QAR 666.46 million during the first half of 2018 compared to approximately QAR 468.58 in the same period a year ago, according to a recent statement.
Earnings per share stood at QAR 0.53 in H1-18 from QAR 0.37 in H1-17.
“The increase in profit was driven by improved selling prices by 13% and increased sales volumes by 6%, as the previous year witnessed planned turnaround in one of the group companies’ plants,” the statement added.
Mesaieed has reported a 67.9% year-on-year surge in profits for the first quarter of 2018, recording a net profit of QAR 356.65 million ($97.97 million) from QAR 212.32 million ($58.32 million).
