Kuwait’s Future Kid mulls Egypt, GCC investments

Mubasher: Future Kid Entertainment and Real Estate Company is currently considering entering the Egyptian market along with some neighbouring GCC ones, in addition to expanding its footprint in its home country Kuwait, CEO Rasha Ghoneim told Al Qabas newspaper.

Future Kid has already signed a deal to open a new branch in Kuwait’s Al Hamra mall, she added, noting that the new branch will house the latest technology for children’s toys.

In cooperation with the country’s tourism body, Future Kid is keeping a close eye on the Aqua Park situation, especially since the contract ended in 2014 but the problem of the build–operate–transfer (BOT) system has not been resolved, the company said.

Future Kid is ready to bid in an auction for Aqua Park in Kuwait, the top official told the newspaper.

The Kuwait-listed consumer-oriented company last reported KWD 910,400 in profit in the first six months of 2017, registering an increase of 7% from KWD 853,400 in the same period of 2016.
