Kingdom Holding’s net profits shrink 97% in Q1-23

Riyadh – Mubasher: Kingdom Holding Company witnessed net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 171.07 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, an annual plunge of 97.11% from SAR 5.92 billion.

Revenues hit SAR 672.12 million in January-March 2023, higher by 49.35% year-on-year (YoY) than SAR 450.04 million, according to the interim financial results.

The earnings per share (EPS) fell to SAR 0.05 during Q1-23 from SAR 1.60 in the year-ago period.

On a quarterly basis, the Q1-23 net profits after Zakat and tax shrank by 31.65% from SAR 250.30 million in Q4-22, while the revenues grew by 7.83% from SAR 623.29 million.

Last year, the company generated SAR 6.95 billion in net profit after Zakat and tax, a 583.87% leap from SAR 1.01 billion during the January-December 2021 period.
