Cairo – Mubasher: The board of directors of Juhayna Food Industries accepted the resignation of Safwan Thabet from his position as a member of the board of directors.
The board also decided to appoint Ahmed El-Wakil as an independent, non-executive board member, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.
El-Wakil is the President of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and was the President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce.
The company earlier announced the detention of its Chairman Safwan Thabet, pending an investigation, and approved the appointment of Mohamed Abdullah Mohamed El-Dogheim as the company’s new chairman
During the first nine months of 2020, Juhayna Food Industries achieved net profits of EGP 383.74 million, up from EGP 291 million in the year-ago period, including minority shareholders’ rights.
