GNH’s profits attributable to owners shrink in 9M-22; accumulated losses announced

Dubai – Mubasher: Gulf Navigation Holding (GNH) posted net profits attributable to the equityholders worth AED 1.93 million in the first nine months (9M) of 2022, versus AED 66.33 million in 9M-21.

Operating revenues amounted to AED 104.09 million in the January-September 2022 period, higher than AED 89.27 million in 9M-21, according to the income statements.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) plummeted to AED 0.0014 in 9M-22, compared to AED 0.0638 during the same period in 2021.

In the third quarter (Q3) of 2022, the DFM-listed firm turned to net profits attributable to the owners worth AED 4.47 million, against net losses of AED 13.76 million in Q3-21.

Additionally, the Q3-22 operating revenues surged to AED 31.74 million from AED 27.07 million in Q3-21.

The basic and diluted EPS stood at AED 0.0033 during July-September 2022, against a loss per share of AED 0.0143 in the year-ago period.

Meanwhile, the UAE-based company registered accumulated losses worth AED 667.15 million as of Q3-22, representing 52.30% of its capital.

In the first half (H1) of 2022, GNH shifted to net losses attributable to the shareholders worth AED 2.53 million, compared to net profits of AED 80.10 million in H1-21.
