Bahrain-Mubasher: Bahrain Flour Mills Company has awarded a European company tender to import the Australian wheat, said Chairman Abdullah Al-Aujan.
He added that the tender is to import 25,000 tons of wheat in April.
The company posted BHD 156,000 net earnings for the fourth quarter of 2014, against BHD 157,000 losses in the year-ago period.
Al-Aujan said the company's positive financials reflect its ability to record robust results amid bullish outlook for the local economy.
The full-year net earnings soared 180% to BHD 614.142 thousand ($1,617.87 million), compared with BHD 219.3 thousand ($577.713 thousand) a year earlier.
The board proposed cash dividend at 20% of paid-in capital, or 20 fils per share, totaling BHD 500,000.
