Energy House to unveil effect on business after lifting Sudan sanctions

Mubasher: The Energy House Holding owns a stake of 64% in the Sudanese company Higleig Petroleum Services & Investment Co. Ltd. (HPSIC), according to a bourse statement issued on Sunday.

The financial impact on Energy House’s position after lifting sanctions on Sudan has not been yet determined, the company said, noting that it will disclose any changes that will be registered in the consolidated income statements.

A recent report revealed that Kuwaiti companies will benefit from the situation that US on Friday has lifted most of the economic and trade sanctions it first imposed on Sudan almost 20 years ago.

At the stock level, Energy House closed Sunday’s session 1.94% higher at 36.7 fils.
