Egypt Gas nods to EGP 61m contract with Norpetco

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Gas announced that its board of directors has approved a contract to transport gas to the fields of the North Bahariya Petroleum Company (Norpetco).  

The gas transmission works have been awarded to Egypt Gas with a value of EGP 60.8 million to be implemented over four months, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Thursday.

In addition, the company’s board also approved a contract with Jordanian Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply to transport natural gas to Jordan Phosphate Mines Co for a value of $3.9 million (EGP 64 million) over a period of twelve months. 

During the first half of 2019, Egypt Gas turned to profits of EGP 14.43 million, against a loss of EGP 7.55 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
