EMPC’s consolidated profits hike 229% in Q1-23

Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Media Production City Company (EMPC) registered EGP 165.91 million in consolidated net profit after tax during the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, an annual leap of 228.99% from EGP 50.43 million.

Basic earnings per share (EPS) jumped to EGP 0.79 in Q1-23 from EGP 0.24 in Q1-22, according to the income statements.

The sales reached EGP 233.01 million during the first three months (3M) of 2023, higher by 64.45% year-on-year (YoY) than EGP 141.69 million.

Standalone Financial Results

The EGX-listed firm posted a 179.09% YoY hike in standalone net profit after tax to EGP 131 million during January-March 2023 from EGP 46.94 million.

Non-consolidated revenues enlarged by 43.89% to EGP 194.04 million during Q1-23, compared with EGP 134.85 million in the year-ago period.

Additionally, the standalone EPS hit EGP 0.62 as of 31 March 2023, up 179.09% YoY from EGP 0.22.

Last year, EMPC logged consolidated net profits after tax valued at EGP 272.04 million, a 98.24% increase from EGP 137.22 million in 2021.
