EGX30 falls below 10,500 pts at Monday's close

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday's trading session on a negative note, pressured by local and foreign selloffs. 

The main EGX30 index retreated by 1.44% to end at 10,496 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 2.46% to 2,723 points. 

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI declined by 2.35% to 3,660 points and the EGX50 EWI dropped by 2.04% to 2,306 points. 

The market cap value decreased by EGP 10.96 billion to stand at EGP 701.098 billion. 

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 101.23 million, while local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 47.97 million and EGP 53.25 million, respectively. 

The market's turnover reached EGP 1.26 billion after 484.9 million shares were exchanged through 49,642 transactions.
