EGX gains EGP 5.3bn in market cap at Sunday's close

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local purchases.

The main EGX30 index climbed by 1.34%, ending the session at 10,962 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 1.01% to 1,604 points, while the EGX100 EWI advanced by 1.15% to 2,464 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 EWI grew by 1.23% to close at 1,908 points.

The market cap gained EGP 5.3 billion to close at EGP 602.363 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 62.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.11 million and EGP 60.5 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover reached EGP 1.18 billion after 418.9 million shares were exchanged through nearly 42,420 transactions.
