EGX ends Monday mixed

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note amid local and foreign selloffs and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index dropped by 0.12% to end at 11,171 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 0.13% to 1,954 points.

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI inched up by 0.07% to 2,871 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI rose by 0.15% to 2,108 points.

The market cap value declined by EGP 338.6 million to close at EGP 623.906 billion.

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 28.41 million, while local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 16.6 million and EGP 28.41 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 913.17 million after 282.81 million shares were exchanged through around 34,200 transactions.
