Dubai National Insurance's profits up in 9M

Dubai – Mubasher: The net profits of Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR) rose to AED 49.28 million during the first nine months of 2020 from AED 46.598 million in the year-ago period.

The company's net earned premium reached AED 89.91 million in the January-September period of 2020, up from AED 88.95 million in the same period of 2019.

The insurer's net underwriting income increased to AED 41.18 million in the first nine months of 2020 from AED 41.05 million in the corresponding period of the earlier year.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) settled at AED 0.43 in the January-September period of 2020, compared to AED 0.40 during the same period of the earlier year.

During the third quarter (Q3) of 2020, the company's net profits decreased to AED 10.76 million from AED 11.4 million in the corresponding period of 2019.

It is noteworthy to mention that in the January-June period of 2020, DNIR's net profits increased to AED 38.51 million from AED 35.19 million in the corresponding period of 2019.
