Delta Insurance’s board recommends capital increase

Cairo - Mubasher: Delta Insurance’s board approved unanimously increasing the company's authorised capital to EGP 1 billion from EGP 500 million, during a meeting on Monday, 2 January 2023.  

The board further proposed raising the issued and paid-up capital to EGP 400 million from EGP 350 million, according to a bourse disclosure on Tuesday.

The two decisions are subject to the approval of the ordinary general meeting (OGM), which will meet on Monday, 30 January to vote on them.

In the first half (H1) of fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022, the consolidated net profits after tax of Delta Insurance increased by 3.6% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 140.22 million, compared to EGP 135.27 million, including minority shareholders’ rights.

Revenues grew to EGP 164.78 million in July-December 2021 from EGP 146.84 million in the corresponding period of FY20/21.
