City Cement’s profits slide 27% in 2021; dividends announced

Riyadh – Mubasher: City Cement Company has achieved net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 160.28 million last year, down 27.30% from SAR 220.49 million in 2020.

The company’s revenues declined by 13.26% year-on-year (YoY), reaching SAR 496.73 million in 2021 from SAR 572.72 million, according to the financial results on Thursday.

The earnings per share (EPS) plunged to SAR 1.14 last year from SAR 1.22 in 2020.

In a separate bourse disclosure, the company announced a cash dividend of SAR 0.50 per share for the second half (H2) of 2021.

City Cement will pay a total amount of SAR 70 million, representing 5% of the capital, for 140 million eligible shares.

The eligibility and distribution dates will be on 17 March and 30 April, respectively.

During the first nine months (9M) of 2021, the Saudi listed firm recorded net profits of SAR 153.77 million, compared to SAR 163.22 million in 9M-20.
