Mubasher: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has granted a license to Sudan's Bank of Khartoum (BOK) to open a branch in Bahrain.
The branch is expected to strengthen its relationship with the Gulf region. It is targeted to engage with existing and potential investors, with a special focus on financial institutions and corporate customers.
This will be the first BOK branch outside Sudan and the first Sudanese bank that will be holding an Islamic wholesale banking branch license in the Kingdom.
