Mubasher: Ahli United Bank – Kuwait (AUB Kuwait) achieved an 8.8% year-on-year increase in profits during the second quarter of 2019.
The bank’s profits grew to KWD 13.21 million ($43.51 million) in Q2-19 from KWD 12.14 million ($39.99 million) in Q2-18, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
During the first six months ended 30 June 2019, AUB Kuwait recorded an increase of 6.2% in profits to KWD 30.76 million, compared to KWD 28.96 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
AUB Kuwait highlighted that the rise in H1-19 profits is attributed to higher operating revenues of impairment charge.
It is worth noting that during the first quarter of 2019, the bank registered a year-on-year increase of 4.3% to KWD 17.55 million from KWD 16.82 million.
