Saudi Arabia, Kuwait’s crude oil production rises in March; UAE shows decline

Mubasher: The Saudi crude oil production surged by 20,000 barrels per day (bpd) to hit 9.03 million bpd in March 2024 compared with 9.01 million bpd in February, according to the latest OPEC report.

The average crude oil production by Saudi Arabia reached approximately 9.60 million bpd in 2023, which marked a decrease from 10.53 million bpd in 2022.

Kuwait’s crude oil production also increased by 12,000 bpd to 2.44 million bpd in March this year compared with 2.43 million bpd in February.

Meanwhile, the average crude oil production by the State of Kuwait declined by 109,000 bpd to 2.59 million bpd in 2023 from 2.70 million bpd a year earlier.

On the other hand, the UAE’s crude oil production decreased by 6,000 bpd month-on-month (MoM) to 2.92 million bpd in March. As for the country’s average production of crude oil in 2023, there was a drop of 116,000 barrels to 2.95 million bpd from 3.06 million bpd in 2022.
