Rotana to open 13 new hotels in UAE by 2020

Dubai – Mubasher: Rotana plans to open 13 new hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi by 2020, according to a statement.

Rotana, in cooperation with RSG International, announced the launch of a new hotel worth AED 600 million ($163.3 million) in the Jebel Ali region in Dubai.

Rotana currently operates 13 hotels in Dubai, with 8 new hotels expected to be opened by the end of 2020, the company’s chairman Nasser Al Nowais noted.

The hotel management company targets to raise its portfolio to 21 hotels and more than 3,150 rooms.

A five-star hotel will soon be opened in Abu Dhabi within the coming three or four years, Al Nowais added.

The company also plans to open 17 new hotels by the end of 2018 in other countries, like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Turkey, with a target to operate 100 hotels by 2020.
