Mubasher: Export revenues from Tunisia’s industrial sector leapt in the first seven months of the fiscal year 2016 by 4.1% to TND 15.2 billion ($7.6 billion), versus TND 14.6 billion for the same period of 2015, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported on Wednesday citing figures by Tunisian Ministry of Industry and Technology.
The ministry attributed the rise to the growth in revenues from exports of mechanical and electrical industries by 12.1% to TND 7.5 billion in the seven-month period this year, compared to TND 6.7 billion for the same period of 2015.
Exports of textile and clothing sector also rose by 5.9% by the end of July 2016, footwear and leather exports increased by 6.7%.
