Oman unveils OMR 2 bn Future Fund Oman

Muscat - Sharikat Mubasher: Oman Investment Authority (OIA) established a new fund with a capital of OMR 2 billion for five years from 2024 to 2028 to enhance and stimulate the Omani economy, the authority revealed in a statement.

The Future Fund Oman will serve as an effective and reliable partner for the private sector and investors and will contribute to developing the economic sectors and diversifying the Omani economy.

Around 90% of the fund’s capital will be allocated for local direct investments, while the remaining 10% will be dedicated to startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Future Fund Oman targets empowering the private sector, complementing the government’s financing schemes, and entering into investment partnerships.
