Egyptian Exchange’s indices tumble on Tuesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) dropped at the closure of Tuesday’s session, with the EGX30 main index dropping by 6.01% to 24,448.73 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI tumbled 4.92% to close at 5,573.72 points.

The EGX100 EWI plunged by 5.22% to hit 7,938.73 points.

A total of 655.21 million shares were exchanged at a value of EGP 3.50 billion.

Moreover, the market cap value of EGX hit EGP 1.67 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were the net buyers with EGP 275.90 million. On the other hand, the foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 199.59 million and EGP 76.31 million, respectively.
