EGX’s indices close Wednesday lower

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a downward performance at the end of Wednesday’s session, with the EGX30 main index falling by 1.67% to 25,988.93 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also retreated by 1.86% to close at 5,750.71 points.

Likewise, the EGX100 EWI declined by 1.82% to 8,252.02 points.

The turnover amounted to EGP 4.33 billion through the exchange of 717.33 million shares. In addition, the market cap value of EGX hit EGP 1.75 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and foreign investors were the net buyers with EGP 58.49 million and EGP 267.54 million, respectively.

On the other hand, the Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 326.03 million.
