Agility, NREC, National Cleaning resume trading on Boursa Kuwait

Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait on Sunday announced the resumption of trading on the stocks of Agility Public Warehousing, National Real Estate (NREC), and National Cleaning.

The announcement came an hour after trading began on Sunday.

Trading on Agility comes after the company’s disclosure on Friday indicating that it has reached a full settlement in US government cases on food supply between 2003 and 2010.

Agility said it will pay $95 million (KWD 28.8 million) in cash to settle the lawsuit in which it was accused of defrauding the US military on food supply contracts.

Meanwhile, NREC requested the resumption of trading on its stock, according to a separate statement to the bourse.

The Kuwaiti real estate firm owns a 22.34% stake in Agility, while Public Institution for Public Security (PIFSS) owns a 20.57% stake in the warehousing firm.

Both companies had requested that trading their stocks be suspended temporarily following the suspension of their subsidiary Agility pending important news.
