Riyadh – Mubasher: ACWA Power Company has signed a SAR 18.20 billion power purchase agreement (PPA) with the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan company for a five gigawatts (GWs) wind power project.
Under the agreement, ACWA Power will build, own, and operate the project for 25 years before transferring the project to the Uzbekistani company, according to a bourse filing.
The agreement was signed on 2 May 2024.
Last week, ACWA Power signed documents for SAR 5.69 billion senior debt financing for the Qassim 1 Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCGT) project.
