Mubasher: The Emiri Diwan of Qatar announced on Sunday the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani at the age of 84, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad is the grandfather of the Qatari emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and a former ruler of the State of Qatar.
Al-Thani has ordered three days of public mourning across the country, according to QNA.
