QSE closes in red for 3rd session in row

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell at Sunday’s close by 0.04% or 4.5 points to the level of 10,433.95 points, extending losses for the third session in a row.

Trading volume decreased to 5.1 million shares from 5.23 million shares exchanged on Thursday, turnover also retreated to QAR 173.9 million from QAR 223.34 million.

Qatar Electricity and Water declined 0.66%, QIB shrank 0.38% and Nakilat dropped 0.13%.

The insurance sector fell 0.46% as Doha Insurance topped losers with a fall of 2.3%, the real estate sector declined 0.18% due to a 0.75% decrease in Barwa Real Estate.

The transportation sector closed 0.39% down as Milaha slid 1%, the industrial sector fell 0.16%, dragged by a drop of 1.67% in Qatar Industrial Manufacturing and 1% in Aamal.

On the other hand, the telecom and banking sectors rose by 0.37% and 0.16% respectively.
