ADX sees gains amid weak liquidity

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) maintained its rise on Sunday due to the rise of telecom and real estate stocks.

The main index gained 0.11% or 4.91 points to reach 4,299.37 points.

Turnover fell to AED 51.74 million on Sunday, compared to AED 122.15 million last Thursday. Trading volume stood at 39.25 million shares, compared to 77.9 million shars.

The telecom sector gained 0.51% as Etisalat went up 0.51%. The real estate sector grew 0.39% after Aldar Properties climbed 0.75%.

The real estate sector advanced 0.39% as Aldar Properties increased 0.75%.

On the other hand, the energy sector fell as TAQA retreated 7.81%.

The banks sector sank 0.09% after First Gulf Bank (FGB) levelled down 0.9%.

Eshraq Properties was the value leader after generating AED 16.07 million from the exchange of 20.17 million shares.
