Kuwaiti bourse in green at Sunday’s close

Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended Sunday’s trading session up 0.17% or 9.03 points to reach 5,330.49 points.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.61% and 0.90% respectively.

KSE’s liquidity shrank 62.2% to KWD 8.35 million as compared to KWD 22.08 million on Thursday. Trading volume decreased 31.5% to 77.9 million shares from 113.74 million in the previous session.

The telecom sector topped nine gainers with 0.85% on the back of Zain which rose 2.7%.

Meanwhile, the insurance sector headed three decliners with a fall of 0.48%, dragged by Warba Insurance which lost 3.8%.

Mayadeen was the most active stock on which 6.82 million shares were exchanged at a value of around KWD 201,800. The stock levelled up 3.51% to 29.5 fils.

Zain recorded the highest trading value that reached KWD 1.38 million after 3.72 million shares were traded. The stock went up 2.74% to 375 fils.
