QSE-listed transportation firms’ Q3 profits down 19%

Doha – Mubasher: The financial statements of three transportations firms listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) showed a year-on-year decline in their profits for the fiscal year 2016.

Net profit of Qatar Gas Transport Limited (Nakilat), Qatar Navigation (Milaha) and Gulf Warehousing amounted to QAR 502.3 million ($137.85 million) for Q3-16, versus QAR 621.5 million ($170.57 million) for Q3-15.

Nakilat made the highest gains in Q3-16 with a net profit of QAR 247.5 million, while Milaha recorded the highest net profit for the first nine months of the year of QAR 747.8 million.

The only rise in Q3 profits was reported by Gulf Warehousing with a growth of 3%. The company’s net profit for the nine-month period also increased by 11%.
