DFM sees gains in early trades

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Sunday’s early trades in the green, backed by the growth of most sectors topped by the real estate and consumer staples. 

The main index went up 0.80% or 26.57 points to reach 3,367.06 points by 10:40am UAE time.

The real estate sector was the best performer after adding 1.4%, backed by Emaar Properties which increased 1.9%. Similarly, the consumer staples grew 1.2% as DXB Entertainments levelled up 1.23%.

The investment sector also went up 0.66% after Dubai Investments rose 0.50%. The transportation sector also climbed 0.53% as Gulf Navigation Holding grew 0.88%.

Turnover reached AED 94.38 million after trading 60.66 million shares through 756 transactions.
