Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Cash withdrawals, both in the form of cash and in kind, from the UAE central bank increased 1.3% in the first nine months of 2016 as compared to the same period in the previous year, according to statistics issued by the Central Bank of the UAE.
Cash withdrawals reached AED 191.70 billion in 9M-16 from AED 191.70 billion in 9M-15.
The recent statistics added that cash deposits, both notes and coins, rose 12% to AED 21.17 billion.
The central bank noted that withdrawals reached the highest level by the end of June after standing at AED 25.91 billion, followed by a decline to AED 18.33 billion by July, then a rise in both August and September to total AED 21.58 billion by the end of the third quarter this year.
